There is a serious problem with over production, especially for smalls and mediums, which has yet to play out during the summer months. Granted we have a long hot summer but the problems seem more systemic than the usual seasonal fluctuations.

BFREPA is starting to get reports that packers are reneging on their contracts to producers. This is disappointing news, particularly as the worst affected seem to be feed-trackers which were intended to reduce the impact of producer price volatility.
