Mr David Trick,
David, former chairman of BFREPA, now operates a poultry consultancy service. He represents free range interests at the BEA and the BEIC Technical Committee. He is also a member of the RSPCA Laying Hen Working Group.
SOUTH WEST REGION
Mr Philip Ayre
Philip has 25,000 birds supplying Deans.
Mr Peter Windscheffel
Peter was formerly Alternative Systems Director for packer Freshlay and then continued in a similar role following a takeover by Deans Foods. Now retired from Deans, he remains a partner in a 10,000 bird free range operation.
Mr John Warne
John has 6000 birds supplying Stonegate and Waitrose.
CENTRAL REGION
Mr Ashley Beeby
Ashley keeps 4,000 hens in partnership with his wife.
Ms Vanessa J Mogridge
Vanessa has 6,000 free range layers, soon to be expanded to 9,000. In addition the farm has a small flock of breeding ewes and a fishing lake.
EAST MIDLANDS REGION
Mr Des Bradley
Des has 65,000 birds supplying Deans. The rest of the 900 acre farm is down to arable and grass for a beef enterprise.
Mr Richard Higgins
Richard has 65,000 birds on free-range as well as a large intensive flock and egg retailing business.
WEST MIDLANDS REGION
Chris Kynaston
Farming in partnership with husband and daughter, Chris keeps 4,600 free range layers supplying a local packer.
EAST ANGLIA REGION
Mr Jeff Vergerson (Vice- Chairman)
Jeff has 15,000 organic birds supplying Deans. He is a member of the government’s organic advisory body ACOS and vice-chairman of the British Egg Association.
NORTH EAST REGION
Mr Charlie Stephenson
Charlie has 40,000 birds supplying an independant packer and rears his own replacement pullets.
Mr Stewart Elliott
Stewart has 37000 birds supplying Deans.
NORTH WEST REGION
Mr John Geldard
John has 39,000 birds with output split between a retail round and a packer, in addition to a farm shop and food services business. He also has beef and sheep and he is a former chairman of both the Charolais Sheep Society and the Lleyn Sheep Society. He is currently vice-chairman of the National Sheep Association north region.
Mr Leo Gillen
Leo has 16000 birds supplying The Lakes Free Range Eggs.
WALES
Mrs Mary Pipkin
Mary is the association’s treasurer and has 7,500 birds supplying a local packer and markets.
Mr Kevin Miles
Kevin has 5,000 birds supplying Deans, in addition to a beef and sheep enterprise and a caravan park.
SCOTLAND
Mr James Mclean
James has added a 9000 bird organic unit to the farm's 400 acre arable operation. The eggs are supplied to Deans.
Mr John Retson (Chairman)
John is the Chairman of the association and has 60000 birds supplying Noble Foods.
CO-OPTED MEMBERS
Ms Olivia Potter
Olivia is responsible for a pullet rearing operation producing over 1 million birds a year, primarily for the free range sector.
Mr Steve Carlyle
Steve is a director of a large independent pullet rearing company.
Mr James Maclean
New entrant James has added a 3,000 bird organic unit to the farm’s 400 acre arable operation. The eggs are supplied to Deans.
Mr Alan Dickinson
Alan has 16000 birds, also has sheep, beef and arable.
